第一次把住自行车的车把子，往前推了一段，却下不了决心一步跨上车。我的心在砰砰地跳，脑子里始终在想，卡倒了怎么办，胳膊、腿碰出血怎么办……爸爸看我不敢上车，从后面为我把住了车子，并鼓励我说，“爸爸为你把好了，不会卡倒的，直视前方，大胆地往前开”。因为后面有了爸爸，我再也不害怕了，坐到车座上我就开始蹬下去了。我虽然看不见在后面的爸爸，还听得见他把着车子跟在后面跑的声音，我很放心，也很开心，开了一会，听不见爸爸跟着跑的声音，我便慌张起来，手忙脚乱，倒下去了。

我认为：不管对手是谁，都要对自己有信心，若是一开始就泄气了，那么比赛也就输了一大半了。有一次，我在国际象棋比赛中遇上了一个非常强劲的对手。赛前，几乎所有的同学都过来拍拍我的肩膀对我说：“哥们，你输定了！”我并没有理会他们，而是挤出几个字：“不一定。”不过，没有一个人看好我。在比赛中，对手很是轻视我，漫不经心地走了几步棋，就不停地与别人聊天说话。我却暗暗地对自己说：“我一定会击败他的。”在强大的自信下，我每一步棋都下得异常凶猛，而对手却下得缩手缩脚，越下越差，终于我赢了对方。在别人看来这是爆了大冷门，而只有我知道，这是我的自信让我赢了对手。
